I was the sound designer for the festival's opening event.  An powerful performance piece by 150 local residents.  Conceived and Choreographed by French choreographer Boris Charmatz , the piece closed one of Mancehsters busiest city centre roads.  Rather than the performance move while audience stay still, they moved past the performance, almost like a carnival in reverse.  I used over 70 individual channels of speakers along the 200m of road and made dramatic use of the space by making huge waves of sound that moved and travelled up and down the street.
